- What hours is the museum available for events? Port Columbus is open to the public 9am-5pm, everyday except Christmas, therefore the museum is only available in the evenings after 5:30pm. A lunchtime event is possible in the Center Gallery or outside./li>
- When can I set up for my event?
Unless otherwise allowed by the executive director, renters can begin loading in at 4pm, table and chair set up is in place at that time. - Can we serve liquor?
Yes, abiding by the laws of the State of Georgia and the City of Columbus. Red wine or red based refreshment are prohibited. - Is a police officer required?
Yes, it is included in the rental fee. - What is included with the rental fee?
Use of the museum’s tables and chairs, four hours of event/clean-up time and security. - Are there other services available?
Yes, the museum offers a large and small AV package, a cannon firing, uniformed interpreters, boat rides or demonstrations. - What if my event goes over four hours?
Additional hours are possible for an assessed fee. - Can I bring my own caterer?
Yes, as long as they are licensed and insured. The museum does have a list of preferred caterers. - Does the gift shop remain open?
It can be open or blocked off per the renters desires. - Am I responsible for clean up?
The renter is responsible for leaving the facility the way it was found. - Are there any limitations on decorations?
Decorations must be approved by the museum in advance, open flames are prohibited candles must be enclosed.
