The staff and crew at Port Columbus decided not to hold a 2010 Symposium, in order to concentrate efforts on putting on an excellent event in recognition of the Civil War Sesquicentennial coming up next year.

2011's Symposium will be a collaborative effort between several local history museums and organizations, and will be a multi-faceted, multi-day event (tentatively) focusing on multiple areas of Civil War history, and will of course still have a heavy concentration on Navy and Marine history.
