Mystery at the Museum is a unique fundraiser taking place at The National Civil War Naval Museum on October 22nd , 23rd, 24th , 28th, 29th, & 30th. This interactive and intriguing murder mystery dinner theatre will leave audiences guessing—and in stitches—till the  crime is solved. Each dinner show features an all-star cast of characters, four side-splitting acts, a cash bar, and a three-course meal that’s truly to die for.  Attendees can  get in on the act by playing a part, becoming a top detective, or simply sitting back and enjoying the show. At Mystery at the Museum, just beware! In this immersive experience, the culprit is hiding in plain sight, and you may find yourself as a Prime Suspect before you know it! Bring some friends, expect the unexpected, search for clues, and solve the crime. All for a great cause!

The purpose of this fundraiser is to further support the organization’s mission, deepen the museum’s impact, and help ensure financial sustainability for this valuable cultural institution.  By telling the stories of the navies of the Civil War, we connect people with the past; giving them a better sense of place and time. The museum cares for a unique collection of nationally relevant maritime artifacts as well as a strong archival research collection. It offers an array of educational programs for students of all ages, in addition to a variety of entertaining public events and programs for the community.
