Bill Dean of Ft. Payne, AL , pictured, left, dropped by Port Columbus this week and donated a "Water Witch" marked Bible that had been in his family for generations. It has the ship's name embossed in gold on the cover and a paper label inside indicating it was a gift to the ship from a society in New York City. It also features a handwritten, "Mess No. 1" and another indicating that the book was obtained during the capture of the ship by Confederate sailors of the Savannah Squadron in 1864. The Bible will be on display during the ship's premier to the public during RiverBlast on April 4-5.
